What the results mean
The selected frequency is the oscillator setting; perceived loudness can change greatly with pitch.
Troubleshooting
Check the selected output and keep volume low. Do not raise it to force an inaudible tone.
Browser limitation
Audibility depends on your hearing, age, equipment and system processing. The theoretical frequency range is not a hearing diagnosis or a guarantee of output. Mono audio, spatial effects or channel swapping can change the result; check these settings and stop if uncomfortable.
